On June 9, the EC-Asia Monitoring Team, represented by Mr. Olivier Petre visited SJTU to monitor progress of the CyberC3 Project funded by the EC Asia IT&C Programme. The objective of the monitoring system is to have a clear picture of the project current situation, through the analysis of relevant project documents, interviews with the main stakeholders and of course, field visits to meet the final beneficiaries and looking at the project's benefits/outputs.

During this visit, Prof. Ruqing YANG, the Project Leader, first introduced the work plan and progress; then accompanied Mr. Petre to visit the laboratory and answered some related questions by Mr. Petre. Some researchers from SJTU presented their latest work with some demonstrations. Mr. Petre showed great interests in this Project and its demonstration. In the end, Prof. Yang introduced current difficulties in funding, and Mr. Petro said that he would report it to the EC. The monitor work lasted one day, and had been successfully finished.
